The HTangl uses a unique layout that maximizes ergonomics by moving the right hand rows further down closer to the C-Stick cluster. This allows you to rest your right hand on the top row of buttons instead of the bottom row. Switching from the top to bottom row is much easier than bottom to top like you would on F1/B0XX since you only need to curl your fingers inwards rather than moving your whole hand. You can even access buttons on the bottom row while leaving the majority of your fingers on the top row allowing for easy wavedashes using X and R instead of Y and R.

Here is a video that goes over the advantages of the “top row home row” layout. The HTangl does not use the button layout outlined in this video but it does follow the principals outlined for good ergonomics.
